WHAT DO YOU LOVE THAT TRANSLATES
INTO YOUR DESIGN?
I am a social person. It drives my fascination with places that encourage making the most out of life. Be it a quirky cocktail bar, a well thought-out gallery, or a great sofa arrangement in one’s living room, I love the impromptu social moments that these settings have the ability to create. Travelling has been my favourite way to tap into this love, and to bring back fresh inspiration and knowledge on how different cultures design for
personal betterment.
GIVE US THE USUAL STATS.
With over 8 years of design experience at two of Malta’s top design firms, I have designed and executed a number of projects you would have most certainly heard of. I’m sporting a white hair do at the moment, but who knows what tomorrow will bring... Stay tuned on our day to day.
TINA
WHAT MAKES YOU A GREAT DESIGNER?
Having a very good eye for detail, and more importantly, the dedication towards having the clients’ interests at heart and ensuring they are ultimately happy with the end result, I would say is key. I believe the constant search for perfection, and a good design sense is something that is innate and handed down through family generations. Growing up around talent has most certainly set me in the right direction at an early age.

HOW DO YOU FIT IN TO THIS EQUATION?
Well my family is not like Tina’s, I’m the only one with amazing taste (hope my parents don’t see this).
My dad spent most of his life renovating property and dragging 9-10-11-year-old me around tile stores, to help him choose bathrooms. The ones I wanted were always too expensive, so I had to settle, but that was a good lesson in itself – things don’t always have to be expensive to work. Tin and I make a great team, we both bring something different, but equally important, to KCo. I take care of all the sourcing, always with a tasteful eye for detail.
WHAT DO YOU THINK SETS K-CO APART?
Wow, another good question. You’re on a roll.
I think it is Tina and I, and our determination to live super happy lives. We never settle for the ordinary, and we believe that our design means no one has to do so either. Who wouldn’t want their friends to be jealous of their living room?
QUICK, DESCRIBE GABS IN A FEW WORDS.
My background’s in purchasing. I have bought fancy stuff for private jets for a long time. I love the connection between individuals and their environment, which may come from my degree in ergonomics, but largely applicable to all interior and product design. I adore wine too.
